AWA is an organization established and maintained especially for our members. The AWA has been in existence in Indonesia for over fifty years. First established in the mid-1950s, membership remains strong in numbers.
Since then, the American Women’s Association of Indonesia has grown into a vibrant organization that connects more than 200 women with a supportive network of fellow expatriates, cultural integration, charitable works and, plenty of fun activities! AWA is proud to serve the expatriate community and welcomes newcomers of every nationality.

The new edition of the Jakarta Shopper's Guide is now available! Stop by the AWA Center if you wish to purchase the updated version of the original. The price of the Guide for members is Rp. 300.000 and Rp. 350.000 for non-members.

You are invited to Newcomer's Coffee Morning on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:00am at the AWA Center. This is a great opportunity to meet other newcomers and to gain valuable information regarding relocating to Jakarta. Our friends at Colliers International will share tips on hiring staff, finding a house, cleaning fruits and vegetables, keeping your family safe in Indonesia, and also information on the internet, phones and taxis, just to name a few topics.
